Research about primary immune deficiencies is required so we can better prevent, diagnose, and treat these disorders. Improving diagnosis is critical for early diagnosis, and relies on developing a powerful new understanding of the human immune system. Preventing PIDs is possible through innovative genomics efforts to understand the heritable influences of genes and epigenetics. Improving treatments will occur through innovations in gene therapy and in modifying immune cell signaling.
You can help. Private sponsorship of research studies is often required to generate the early findings and publications that can be used to attract NIH funding. Your donation will advance research efforts in prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of PIDs at Stanford. Click here to participate.
